Rastra Utthan Laghubitta inaugurates new branch in Pokhara

Rastra Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (RULBSL) established a new branch in Pokhara in honor of Father of Microfinance Prof. Md. Yunus, Chairman, Grameen Trust, Bangladesh.

The Yunus-Pokhara Branch of RULBSL was inaugurated by Mr. A. Hai Khan, Managing Director of Grameen Trust amid a well attended function at Chaauthe, Pokhara. With this branch the company has altogether 99 branches till now.

The visiting five members Grameen Trust team led by Mr. A. Hi Khan including the General Manager Mrs. Tasmina Rahaman, besides other officials, also visited the head quarter of RULBSL located at Sanga, Kabhre the other day and hold talks with the company management.

The inauguration function was chaired by Mr. Prem Karki, ward Chairman of Pokhra-14 and Dr. Ram Sharan Kharel, Chief of Nepal Rastra Bank, Gandaki Provincial Office, Pokhara addressed the inaugural function as chief guest appriciated Grameen Trust-RULBSL collaboration to uplift the Nepali deprived sector. Dr. Kharel also praised the efforts of RULBSL for the upliftment of rural poor thru it’s microfinance-plus program.

The visiting GT MD Mr. Hai Khan recalled the decades old relation with Nepal Rural Development Organization (NeRuDO), the main promoter of Rastra Utthan Laghubitta and also promised to provide continious support in various forms to RULBSL in future. Mr. Sudhir P. Lohani, Executive Director of RULBSL welcomed the guests of honor and aldo briefed about the future plan and program of Yunus-Pokhara branch.
